System Consulting
System consulting involves the audit and mapping of existing operational workflows across all the business functions to gain a deep understanding of the client’s existing systems, and then working to adapt and enhance those systems using the features of new ERP technology to gain best practice processes, process efficiency and process effectiveness.
Typically system consulting occurs before any commitment is made to an ERP solution and may involve Smartsoftware running an RFI and RFP process with potential software vendors on behalf of the client to determine the most appropriate system for the client.
Smartsoftware also provides system consulting services post go-live to help clients adapt and enhance their systems as the technology is updated.
Implementation
Smartsoftware has over 30 years of system implementation experience where we work with both vendor and client to complete the implementation and integration of the new ERP technology into the client’s business.
Implementation services is a very structure program of defining the scope, system design, user training, user sandbox testing, production system development, go-live and post go-live monitoring.
Smartsoftware works closely with the clients key functional leaders and internal steering committee throughout the implementation program.

System Hosting
Smartsoftware offers a fully managed hosting service for several Deltek products such as Deltek Vantagepoint. Utilising Microsoft Azure we host, monitor, and manage your own secure and private ERP environment.
This hosting service provides your company with a fast, secure, and reliable access to your ERP system, saving you time and allowing your staff to concentrate on billable work. All maintenance, upgrades and 24×7 monitoring of the infrastructure, platform and application software is handled by the staff at Smartsoftware. Customised access for integration and reporting is also part of this service.
If you are an existing Deltek customer or currently using another product, Smartsoftware can provide advice and migration services to your own private hosted environment along with implementation services.
Project Management
This service provides for Smartsoftware to act as an advocate for the client, and conduit to the software vendor, in critiquing and validating all functional aspects of the ERP software solution, ensuring the proposed vendor solution aligns with the client’s business needs, operational expectations and reporting requirements.
Smartsoftware helps develop and manage the day-to-day program and is a key member of the client’s internal Steering Committee. Additionally, this role will require close engagement with the client’s functional leadership, so to act as a strong advocate for interactions with the vendor’s implementation team throughout the program to post go-live stage.
Business Process Re-Engineering
During the course of our consultancy work, and through detailed research conducted by major software vendors and AEC industry bodies, Smartsoftware keeps abreast of best practice within the industry.
